Oh, Hello! My name is Alana.
I am an Australian mama, DIY lover, shopaholic and enjoy creating punchy meals for my family to enjoy. This blog aims to cover all those topics to keep it interesting!
We live in the land down under, with our house surrounded by greenery and near the ocean. We are so thankful everyday to be so close to nature.
I started photography in 2009 and absolutely love it. It has always been a dream of mine to be able turn my hobby into something and it was not until I had my son in 2018, that I started my project on documenting his first year. This project which I fondly call ‘Little Boo’s First Year’. This project was so important to me after losing a close family member around the same time the year before he was born. It is through loss that we truly understood the meaning of family and to really cherish every single moment with the ones that you love.
I started posting our family pictures onto Instagram as a visual journal and creative outlet whilst on maternity leave. Soon I was building really strong, genuine and meaningful relationships with women and businesses. Exchanges of laughter, conversation and lots of questions about what ingredients were used to cook our dinners, what brand of clothing I was wearing, where Spencer’s toys were from, what high chair we have, what purees did I make, what lipstick colour I was wearing and so many more questions! So much joy came from sharing this information with others, especially when we hear such positive responses, therefore I decided to start a blog.
Thank you for visiting and I cannot wait to share our lives with you.
And if you are wondering – the name Tribeofwuwu was born when my friends started calling me “WUWU” after marrying my husband twice (once in his home country and once in mine) and also because we are wanting to grow our little tribe!
